Nearly 140 Participate at JBC Freshman Orientation

            Jamestown, N.Y.—Jamestown Business College (JBC) was the recent host and facilitator of Freshman Orientation for incoming students starting at the college this fall.

            As part of the evening, students, parents, and other guests, were invited to review the college schedule; meet faculty, staff, and other students; tour the college and labs; and gather some tips on transitioning to college life.  

 

JBC Director of Admissions Brenda Salemme said she was pleased with the turnout and energy at the orientation event. “We had a great turnout and welcomed a group of great individuals into the JBC community,” she said. “We look forward to a promising start this fall with this freshman group and the rest of our new fall students.”

Other activities at the event included games, a college apparel sale through the Jock Shop in Jamestown, and a chicken barbeque. Students also learned more about the discounted student rates available to them at the Lakewood and Jamestown YMCA locations.
