JBC Professional Development Program to Launch in March

Jamestown, N.Y.— Officials at Jamestown Business College (JBC) are set to launch the L.E.A.D. program at the start of the spring term in March.  The new professional development program at the college, L.E.A.D., stands for Leadership, Effectiveness, Accountability, and Diversity, and is designed to equip bachelor degree students with the necessary professional skills to excel in leadership roles.

The new program, which will complement the students’ classroom training, will officially begin on March 18 at the college with an online leadership discussion involving students, JBC staff, and community members.

JBC Director of Marketing and Communications, Jessica Golley, said that the interest in the new program has been high. “Since our initial announcement in December, students and community business members have been asking questions and showing a lot of interest.”

She continued, “The success of the college’s professional E.D.G.E. (Etiquette, Dress, Goals, and Ethics) program at the associate level laid the foundation for the creation of the L.E.A.D. program, and we are very excited to get moving with this first event.”

A speaker series will begin in May as part of the LEAD program.
